Every year, on the first Friday in August, the Wendlingen Newspaper Run takes place. Anyone who has the desire and time can participate. Registration can be done in advance or for those who decide last minute, directly on the race day. The date for 2025 is Friday, August 1st, and the start and finish of the event is at the Gartenschule in Wendlingen. Refreshments will be provided in the courtyard of the Gartenschule.

Highlights

  • At the 20th Wendlinger Zeitungslauf, a total of 248 runners took to the start line, resulting in impressively strong participation.
  • In the women's category, Sabrina Mockenhaupt-Gregor, a 40-time German champion and former Olympic participant, prevailed with a finishing time of 36:49 minutes.
  • A special highlight was the student and youth race with over 80 participants, which created a lively atmosphere and a lot of enthusiasm.
